No More Google Android-iPhone Comparisons

by Patrick Martin on October 10, 2008

Since the release of the T-Mobile G1 Phone it seems that it has been comparison after comparison of the new first Google Android phone with Apple’s iPhone. I’m not surprised by that at all, I think we have waited so long for the release of the first Android phone that we all couldn’t wait to compare it to the iPhone.

It’s amazing how much humans love to compare things, if we get a chance we jump at it. I don’t deny though it’s pretty interesting to see how the two devices match up.

Forget your Laptop, Google Android is Here

by Patrick Martin on September 22, 2008

I’m sitting here writing this using my Laptop, it’s great, I can use it most places, but I’ve tried putting it in my pocket and it doesn’t fit.  It’s also heavy and I don’t enjoy carrying it around.  As someone addicted to the internet it’s something I need to take with me if I’m going somewhere I think I won’t have access to a computer.

Will Android or mobile devices in general ever replace a Laptop? It’s far too early to say, but Android might just end up leading the way in the business world in the longer term.

The Google Android Problem

by Patrick Martin on September 18, 2008

The Android platform has a problem and it’s not going to be that easy to solve. The issue is with the branding of the phone and how it’s going to be sold.

It looks like the new HTC phones from T-Mobile will have the Google logo on them. This is unusual and it kind of blurs the line in terms of is this a G Phone? or is it not really a G Phone because it’s just powered by something that Google backs and the phone isn’t made by Google?

Android Mobile Delayed

by Patrick Martin on June 23, 2008

It looks like the stories of Android being released sooner than we had expected are probably just that- stories.  The WSJ is reporting that Android handsets will be delayed and won’t be released until right at the end of the year, later than many had hoped.
